The XRP CHESS site and Discord bot are free to use — casual games, the learning center, the gallery, piece equipping, and your profile all cost you nothing. But running the servers, the Stockfish workers, the Discord bot, and the tournament infrastructure does cost real money. Tips keep the lights on so none of that has to change.
Where does it go?
Server and hosting costs (MongoDB + Railway), domain renewals, tournament prize funds, ongoing development so the project keeps growing — and the very occasional actual coffee for whoever is debugging the board renderer at 2am.
